Aeronext Expands the Global Deployment of Its “Mongolia Model” for New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM

~Selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s FY2025 “Global South GX Promotion Project”~

Aeronext Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & Group CEO: Keisuke Taji; hereinafter “Aeronext”) announces that its project titled “Contributing to Decarbonization in Mongolia and Vietnam through Drone Delivery and Other Drone Applications” has been selected for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s FY2025 “Global South GX (Green Transformation) Promotion Project” subsidy program.

This project aims to verify the potential for horizontal expansion of Aeronext’s “New Smart Logistics*1 SkyHubTM*2 Mongolia Model”—a logistics system combining drones with next-generation transport and delivery management systems that has been socially implemented in Mongolia since 2023—into other Global South countries.

From a decarbonization perspective, the project will expand drone logistics beyond the medical field to include daily necessities and food delivery, with a focus on Mongolia and Vietnam.

Following a rigorous review process, Aeronext was selected as one of 26 adopted companies, and the project will be implemented over a two-year period through March 2028.

■Social Implementation of Medical Drone Logistics in Collaboration with Local Partners

Since 2022, Aeroext has collaborated with Newcom Group, one of Mongolia’s leading infrastructure companies. From 2023 onward, Aeronext has advanced demonstration testing and social implementation of drone delivery in Ulaanbaatar, where traffic congestion and air pollution are severe, starting with medical logistics.

MSDD (Mongolia Smart Drone Delivery), a drone-specialized subsidiary of Newcom Group, obtained Mongolia’s first commercial drone flight license in 2024 and began commercial operations delivering blood products from the National Blood Transfusion Center to multiple hospitals in the city.

Operational training was comprehensively provided by NEXT DELIVERY Inc., Aeronext’s strategic subsidiary.

・Through continuous operations during August–September 2024 and May–November 2025, the project has achieved:
・472 total flights
・Delivery of blood products for 516 patients to 14 hospitals
・Contribution to five life-saving emergency responses
・Overseas deployment of NEXT DELIVERY’s operational know-how and human resource development programs
・Acquisition of Mongolia’s first commercial drone flight license by MSDD

As a result, drone-based blood transportation has gained strong social recognition and evaluation as a sustainable social business.

With this new project adoption, Aeronext will quantitatively evaluate GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emission reduction effects achieved through reduced vehicle transportation, and link these results to further business expansion in Mongolia and Vietnam.

■Exporting Japan’s “Operations × Systems × Technology” Expertise to the Global South

・One of Japan’s Most Advanced Drone Logistics Track Records

In Japan, AERONEXT has promoted the social implementation of New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM in multiple regions, accumulating over 4,200 drone flight operations as of the end of December 2025.

The company has also led the practical implementation of drone logistics by addressing regulatory frameworks under Japan’s Civil Aeronautics Act and conducting Japan’s first Level 3.5 flights along routes including DID (densely inhabited district) areas in November 2025.

Aeronext aims to establish an integrated three-pillar logistics ecosystem, providing as a unified solution:

・Hardware such as drones and modules equipped with 4D GRAVITY®, its proprietary airframe structural design technology
・Operation systems enabling simultaneous remote and autonomous flight control
・Ground infrastructure including drone stations

These technologies and insights will be leveraged to promote GX initiatives across the Global South.

・First Overseas Deployment of “Japanese Safety Standards”

The Mongolia initiative served as a precursor to the SkyHubTM Training Center, which NEXT DELIVERY launched in January 2026.

NEXT DELIVERY’s experienced operations team conducted intensive training—both in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, and on-site in Mongolia—covering not only technical knowledge and skills but also safety awareness, enabling fully independent local operations.

This initiative represents the first overseas deployment of NEXT DELIVERY’s “Japanese safety standards” and has received high praise from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia.

Human resource development in local markets will be further accelerated through this project.

*1 New Smart Logistics

A public-private initiative to find solutions to the issues commonly faced by the logistics industry, such as labor shortages, environmental and energy issues, and DX areas, while utilizing digital and technology to ensure the future sustainability of logistics, which is an indispensable infrastructure for people’s daily lives. The project aims to realize the last mile joint delivery, the best mix of land and air transportation, freight and passenger consolidation, automated technology, etc., through co-creation based on an open public platform (O.P.P.) that transcends the boundaries between the industry and the outside world.

*2 New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM

New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM is a next-generation logistics platform jointly developed by Aeronext and SEINO Holdings. It integrates conventional ground transportation with drone delivery, connecting ground and aerial infrastructure to optimize overall logistics operations.

SkyHubTM is an open and standardized platform that uses Drone Depots® as hubs and combines vehicles and drones as delivery methods, supported by a next-generation delivery management system. It enables region-specific services such as consolidated deliveries across multiple logistics providers, food and daily goods delivery, and pharmaceutical distribution.

By improving last-mile efficiency through automation, SkyHubTM helps address regional challenges including labor shortages, transportation access in rural areas, healthcare delivery, disaster response, and support for underserved communities, while enhancing residents’ convenience and quality of life.

*3 SkyHubTM Training Center

Launched by NEXT DELIVERY in January 2026, the SkyHubTM Training Center is Japan’s only logistics-focused training program that provides end-to-end practical education required for drone delivery operations.

Participants (and participating companies) aim to independently manage the entire process—from launching a drone delivery business to establishing stable day-to-day operations. The program offers comprehensive training covering aircraft preparation, regulatory applications, and actual operations, including Level 3.5 flights involving DID (densely inhabited district) areas and the transportation of hazardous materials, as well as the implementation of remote and automated flight operations.

Through this integrated approach, the program delivers practical know-how that cannot be acquired through conventional drone schools.
