【Aeronext’s IP Strategy and Technology Licensing Business】

The Aeronext Group develops a technology licensing business by patenting its proprietary industrial drone technologies, managing them as a patent portfolio, and providing them as licensing packages.
Since its establishment in April 2017, the company has filed a total of 748 patent applications globally as of the end of March 2026 (412 in Japan and 336 overseas).
In particular, since 2020, Aeronext has focused on the logistics domain, where it holds the No.1 position among Japanese companies in drone-related patent scores in the logistics sector.*

The company’s core technology includes *4D GRAVITYTM*1, a proprietary airframe structural design technology that enhances the fundamental performance of industrial drones and the transport capacity of logistics drones, along with related technologies.
In addition, Aeronext aims to transition all business activities—including those derived from **New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM*2, a drone-integrated logistics platform launched in 2021—into a licensing-based model, and has actively filed patents in these areas.
Beyond logistics —where Aeronext has developed new technologies such as ActiveWingTM—, the company has also secured numerous patents in inspection, monitoring, and system-related fields.

*1 4D GRAVITYTM
4D GRAVITYTM is Aeronext’s proprietary airframe structural design technology that optimizes aerodynamic performance by controlling lift, drag, and center of gravity based on the aircraft’s structure, while enabling uniform motor rotation regardless of flight posture, condition, or motion. This enhances the fundamental performance of industrial drones—such as stability, efficiency, and maneuverability—as well as payload performance for logistics drones. The technology is protected and managed as part of Aeronext’s 4D GRAVITYTM patent portfolio, expanding the potential applications and markets for industrial drones.

*2 New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM
New Smart Logistics SkyHubTM is a next-generation logistics platform jointly developed by Aeronext and SEINO Holdings. It integrates conventional ground transportation with drone delivery, connecting ground and aerial infrastructure to optimize overall logistics operations.
SkyHubTM is an open and standardized platform incorporating drone delivery. Using Drone DepotsTM as hubs, it combines vehicles and drones as delivery methods to provide services tailored to regional needs, including consolidated delivery across multiple logistics providers, personal shopping services, food delivery, and pharmaceutical distribution.
SkyHubTM also serves as a solution to reconstruct logistics networks and address regional challenges such as labor shortages due to population decline and aging, transportation issues in remote areas, healthcare access, disaster response, and support for underserved populations. It contributes to regional revitalization by improving convenience and quality of life, while supporting the development of sustainable local communities.
