TOKYO INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRY EXHIBITION 2019 Awards

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Going Global Innovations Competition is designed to showcase domestically and internationally sales opportunities and to recognize innovative and future-proof products technologies, and services developed by small and medium size business in Tokyo utilizing their unique technological capabilities. Composed of two divisions, product / technology (venture technology) and service divisions, Aeronext’s “4D GRAVITY®” won the award for excellence after passing three rounds of review in the product / technology (venture technology) division.

The award-winning technology “4D GRAVITY®” is a technology that controls the center of gravity of the drone by physically separating the flying sections and the cargo sections of the drone with a gimbal. By installing “4D GRAVITY®” on an industrial drone, the load on the motor can be reduced, improving basic performance in areas such as wind resistance, fuel efficiency, flight time, and flight speed. Also, even with various shapes and load factors, it can fly without losing the optimal angle, allowing the drone to autonomously perform complex tasks, that previously were difficult and required humans. This “Flying Robot” will evolve and expand its uses and is expected to greatly expand the use-cases for industrial drones.

Currently, governmental system design and technical development are proceeding at a rapid pace toward the goal of achieving “Level 4” (out-of-sight flight without assistance in manned zones) in FY2022. Now that drones are being used in various fields such as logistics, inspection, security, and disaster relief, 4D GRAVITY® is not only stable and reliable, but also accepted by the society at large. Aeronext is confident that this technology can contribute to improving society.

Looking forward to the future, in order to make “4D GRAVITY®” is a standard safety technology for industrial drones, we will further expand our mass production system in cooperation with various such as domestic and overseas drone manufacturers and drone service providers, and encourage application development for customers. In addition to accelerating the industrial use of drones by providing solutions, we plan to further expand the patent our portfolio built around “4D GRAVITY®” to expand our licensing business globally.

As one of the award winners, Aeronext’s booth will be exhibited at the “TOKYO INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRY EXHIBITION 2019” (Date: November 13 (Wednesday) to 15 (Friday) 10: 00-18: 00 Place: Tokyo Big Sight. The 22nd TOKYO INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRY EXHIBITION 2019 is one of the largest trade fairs in Japan, displaying leading products and technologies from small and medium sized businesses in the Tokyo Metropolitan area.

Aeronext will continue its vision to make efforts toward the realization of a drone-based society and the economicization of new airspaces.
