Aeronext Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO Keisuke Toji, hereinafter Aeronext) and YOSHINOYA CO.,LTD. (Chuo, Tokyo, Yasutaka Kawamura, Representative Director/President, hereinafter YOSHINOYA) are promoting the implementation of drone delivery in Yamanashi Prefecture. To commemorate the achievement of 100 drone deliveries in Kosuge Village on July 21, we provided the residents with a freshly made “flying beef bowl” that was served in the YOSHINOYA kitchen car “Orange Dream.”
Aeronext signed a partnership agreement for regional revitalization by introducing a drone delivery service and implementation of new smart logistics in November last year. Trial deliveries started at the end of April. The number of deliveries reached 100 on July 1 and the commemoration was to express gratitude for the support and cooperation to the people of Kosuge Village.

Regarding the drone delivery service in Kosuge Village, Aeronext has received feedback from the citizens regarding the service, including areas such as notification methods and delivery items. This feedback helped Aeronext expand its routes from 1 area and one flight path to 4 areas and 5 flight paths, including rooftops. This expansion has been for visual, as well as non-visual flight and with continuing improvements, Aeronext has increased delivery frequency dramatically.
Going forward, Aeronext will continue to work with the people of Kosuge Village to develop, verify, and implement a new smart logistics “SkyHub®” that incorporates drone delivery using Aeronext’s logistics aircraft as the standard, and a service model that will contribute to solving logistical problems in the village.

 The beef bowl lunch, cooked in the YOSHINOYA kitchen car (Orange Dream) parked at the Drone Depot in the Hashidate area, was placed in a special box and set in the drone. The drones took off at intervals of about 15-20 minutes and utilized 3 routes. They flew a total of 10 times and were delivered to the citizens.
 The beef bowl lunch was hot and delivered without spilling the contents of the beef bowl, and the recipients were very pleased.
 Mayor Naomi Funaki of Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, also rushed in and watched the drone flight with the villagers while looking back on the steps since the cooperation agreement in November last year, and was happy to receive the beef bowl.
 Delivery started at 11:00am and provided villagers with a total of 150 beef bowls, including 24 delivered by drone delivery. Delivery ended around 3:00pm.
